show and tell details

If invited to be a host you will need to plan a bit. You only have 30 mins to initially show your institution, although hopefully poeple will have vistied whatever web resources you point them at ahead of the event (school website, Pinterest images, YouTube clips, whatever you have, don't create anything specially) and then a further 45 minutes to field questions from others, and from the chair of your session.

Ideally, you will have a wireless laptop, or tablet / iPad with camera so that you can be touring the school to show the bits you have selected as interesting - remember that what you take for granted (death adders, iguanas, motorways, coral reefs, ethnic diversity, uniforms, Latin, dungeons (!)... other may find completely captivating - or amazing.

The students and staff member wandering round generating live video and talking into the microphone ("...and here is our creek with the aligators in it...") should be aware of the multiple langauge audience - speak and walk slowly and clearly please.

You may want to rehearse your tour, although perhaps not quite like this one.

schedule
