A teacher reflects on a learner led design project

Michael van Ostran teaches at the SEK Ciudalcampo school in Madrid. The school was one of three where the students were asked to research, budget, design and construct a better learning space. The full project is currently being documented and will be shared, but here Michael reflects on the project in its third year.

"If the project isn't learner led, I would dare to say that it isn't worthwhile..."

during the interview Michael refers to some of the resources that his students viewed, visited or researched. These include the learner led re-designed demountable in London's Lampton School (read Juliette Heppell's free iBook about the project and her research) and many of the images on this Pinterest board.

The students views, and images of their space, will be added here too eventually.
